17 things to promote during your next TikTok live to help reach your goals

Have you ever wondered what should I promote on my tiktok live? How will going live on TikTok help grow my TikTok account?

After watching over 1,000 hours of TikTok lives and going live on TikTok for almost a month I have learned some of the promotions the top TikTok live creators use in their live streams daily to increase followers, gifts and more. I went ahead and gathered them so you don’t have to. ^_^

Here is a list of 17 things to promote during your next Tiktok live to reach your goals. Align on your top goals. Then make sure to direct your audience to your priority goal. ASK ASK ASK at least every 10-20 minutes since viewers enter and exit chat frequently. 

Engagement Goals

  1. Like Goal - likes keep your live on the FYP tell the room if we hit x amount of likes you will get x or just say hey can we hit x amount of likes. Keep them tapping that screen and pushing your live to the FYP ( For You Page) for new potential followers to discover you. 

  2. Share Goal - A share goal share also helps with reach and exposure tell the room to share the live with a friend or two. Or tell them can we get x amount of shares before we move on. Viewers can opt link and it counts as a share. 

  3. Follower Goal - Follower goal tell viewers we are x amount to y amount of followers can we get it? If we hit a certain number of followers can provide a small insensitive. Hit the follow button so you see the live again. If your new hit the live button so we can hang out again. 

  4. Subscriber Goal - Ask viewers to subscribe and when hit a certain number of subscribers do a give away for gift card or free sun month.  Try your best to shout out every on who subscribes and ask your community to give them a warm welcome.

  5. Video Engagement Goal - Request your audience Like & comment on your last video to amplify reach and increase engagement on your most recent video. This helps with the TikTok algorithm. 

  6. Join your discord. This is where your audience can connect with you before and after lives to continue to conversation. Share important notifications since everyone is alerted on discorded. It seems like only a portion are notified when your live on Tiktok 

Gift Goals

  1. Wishlist Goal - Always set a live gift goal and reference it so viewers can contribute. Example “We are 5 cat paws away from our goal let’s finish the wishlist.” Always set a wishlist people like to complete things. You’ll be surprised how quick it’s completed.

  2. Save Goal - In addition to gifts tell users that they can save 31% on TikTok coins if they recharge from the TikTok website instead of gifting directly through the app. Put the link in your bio.

  3. Daily rankings goal or rising star goals - Let your community know how far you are from the next rank to become #1. Take the thinking out for your audience and be specific about which goal you needed like “guys we are only a galaxy away”. Beware daily rankings is a wild place.

  4. Top gifters/ gifters incentive. Recognize and reward your top gifters. What I can tell a shout out goes a long way on TT live. Some people want the recognition and expect nothing in return. 

  5. Gift Challenge - similar to a gift goal similar to the wishlist but without the wishlist. Say I challenge x of you to gift 4 “Pawfect” use different value gifts since they range from 1 - 30,000 coins. May want to keep it low so more people have the opportunity to gift.

Misc Goals

  1. Download game goal  if you are sponsored by a game app company make sure to promote in your live by sharing how to download it or having a download game goal. If we get x amount of downloads then we will do y.  Have the link in the bio for easy downloads.

  2. Use your Discount code if you love a protect or service mention it on your live and have the link in your bio.

  3. Tiktok live event. Tiktok has created so many TikTok live events. You can see this in the explore tag and rules to participate as a creator and as a viewer. Share with the community if you are participating and make daily goals that align with the challenge. Typically these events have used specific gift, subs, or follows.

  4. Scheduled battle with another creator. Battles are away to increase diamond amount and climb the ranks. Though they are not mandatory. Let your audience know when you are battling another creator to make sure they are recharged and ready to lead the team to victory.  Create a live event and have your audience register to get a reminder about the event.

  5. Song playlist there is opportunity in having a popular playlist. If users love your playlist share where the link can be found to increase listeners.

  6. Plug your back up page it’s pretty often creators are “banana’d” from going live on their main account meaning they cannot go live until the period is over. Promoting where you will be before it happens will be super beneficial.
